What equipment and software are needed for organizing games?

Equipment and software are optional: every core Playbox feature works without them, but they make games feel more professional and bring players back.

Equipment

• Bibs and a ball (see “How do I get bibs, a ball and a tripod for my game?”).

• For filming: a phone or camera, a tripod and a power bank. With two phones, one films and the other runs the match in Playbox.

Software

• The Playbox app or play-box.xyz to create the game, split teams and record goals.

• For streaming on an iPhone: Playbox Stream, our own app, connected in Settings, “Connected Apps” (no key or overlay link to paste).

• For streaming in other apps: any app with Custom RTMP. Streamlabs, PRISM Live Studio or Larix Broadcaster on a phone, OBS on a computer. Paste the stream key and RTMP server from the game’s Stream settings (lobby, Media, Video, “Add stream”) as Custom RTMP and add the overlay link as a layer. Do not link YouTube inside the streaming app itself, or Playbox will not see the stream.
