How do I edit the tournament bracket?

Open the bracket from your league page or from the tournament lobby and use Edit bracket. Drag the handle on a row or tap a side of a pair, then pick a team from the list.

You can fill an empty side, and you can swap two sides that both already hold teams. A pair whose match has started cannot be changed, and the app names the matches that are blocking you. Anything you set by hand stays marked as a manual decision, so it survives a regeneration.

When editing is not available the screen says why in words instead of hiding the button, for example the stage has no bracket graph, the bracket is flagged for manual mapping, or a check found problems.

Your first successful edit moves the bracket onto the graph engine and Playbox tells you when that happens. Without that move the next recorded result would recalculate the round by the old rules and quietly undo your change.

Empty slots explain what they are waiting for in plain words, such as the winner of a given match or the second place of a group, instead of showing TBD.
