How does Playbox split players into balanced teams?
Teams are split in the lobby before kickoff by the organizer (or the game’s manager or referee) with “Distribute Rosters”, which offers two methods:
-
“Balance”: evens the sides by PBX rating with a small adjustment for current form and Trust Level, and spreads goalkeepers across the teams.
-
“Shuffle”: a random split, for casual games where everyone is roughly equal.
You see the proposal before applying it, you can redistribute, and you can move players by hand until the match starts. During the game, lineups change through substitutions. Players don’t pick their own team. For a player with no history the sign-up questionnaire gives the first estimate, and it sharpens with every confirmed game.
