Can I add a player who doesn't have a Playbox account yet?

Yes. Playbox creates a profile for them, and their games, goals and rating are recorded on it until they take it over.

To hand the profile over, the team owner or captain opens the team roster, taps “Give profile away” next to that player and sends them the link. The player opens it, sees their name, photo, team, games and goals, and taps “This is me, take the profile”. Then they finish sign-up and link a way to log in, so they don’t lose the profile on another device.

Good to know:

• The link works once and for 30 days. A new link cancels the previous one.

• “This link is no longer valid” means it was used or expired. Ask your captain for a new one.

• If the player already has their own Playbox account, they tap “This is me, merge the profiles”. Playbox merges the two by hand.

• A link can be issued only for a profile created by an organizer, never for a real account.
