Why is my overlay stuck on the static preview (no live score)?

The overlay stays on the static preview until a match is actually started: pressing “Start” in the match room switches it to the live state with score, timer and goals. Opening the event or sitting in the lobby is not enough; the timer must be running. Two other common causes: the overlay link was copied from a different account than the one entering results (it must be the same organizer account, or no live data flows), or the match already finished (the overlay returns to a static end screen a few minutes after the event ends). Add the link as a Browser Source (OBS) or custom layer (Streamlabs), in landscape.
