How to stream matches (Mobile and OBS)?
To stream a Playbox match you need a stream key from the game in Playbox and any streaming app with Custom RTMP: Streamlabs, PRISM Live Studio or Larix Broadcaster on a phone, or OBS on a computer. On an iPhone you can skip all of this with our own app, Playbox Stream (see âHow do I connect the Playbox Stream app?â): no key, server or overlay link to paste. Do not connect YouTube inside Streamlabs and do not use Go Live in the YouTube app: that broadcast bypasses Playbox, so there is no scoreboard overlay and no stream in the lobby.
How to Go Live
-
In Playbox open the game lobby, Media tab, Video, âAdd streamâ (or âManageâ, âStream settingsâ, âAdd streamâ).
-
Pick your channel under âYour channelsâ or the Playbox channel, tap âNextâ, choose the quality and tap âCreateâ.
-
Tap the stream row (Stream #1), then âCopy stream keyâ and âCopy RTMP serverâ.
-
In your streaming app choose Custom RTMP and paste the RTMP server and the key.
-
Add the overlay link from Stream settings as a layer (Streamlabs: Scenes, Layers, Add, Add Custom Item, Add URL; OBS: Browser Source).
-
Switch the phone to landscape, then start streaming.
Two phones: one films and streams, the other runs the match in Playbox (Match room, âStartâ, goals). It must be logged in to the organizer account or to a Manager or Referee of the game, and the overlay link must come from that same account.
If the stream drops, reconnect with the same key; do not create a new stream. To end, tap Stop in your streaming app.
OBS settings: high audio quality, 1080p, 60 fps, max video bitrate 3500 kbps. Stream name: City | Date | Format | Teams, for example Tbilisi | 03.04.2025 | 8x8 | Inter Academy.
With a Playbox stream key you donât need 50 YouTube subscribers; live streaming only has to be on in YouTube Studio. Twitch: turn on auto-archiving and disconnect protection. Downloading the video from Playbox isnât supported: download it from YouTube or Twitch.
