How does automatic YouTube stream detection work?

Playbox can detect a linked YouTube stream automatically when a match starts, so the broadcast is picked up without you flipping a switch at kickoff. There is a configurable reaction delay, a short buffer that controls how long the system waits before reacting to the match start, which helps line the detection up with the real stream going live.

Once detected, the stream is connected to the event and the live broadcast flows into the event lobby and results page, with the overlay and timestamps working from your game data.

For this to work the stream needs to be linked to the event and goals recorded with accurate timing. This is part of the wider streaming automation, alongside Smart Streaming to the Playbox channel.
