How does a penalty shootout look on the stream overlay?
The overlay picks up the shootout automatically as soon as the referee starts it, so there is nothing extra to switch on. A row of markers appears inside the scoreboard: a filled green circle is a scored kick, a red circle with a cross is a miss, and an empty circle is a kick still to come. The kick being taken right now is outlined in the accent colour.
The counter next to the markers reads KICK 3 during the regular shootout, SD 7 once the series goes to sudden death, and FINAL when it is decided, and the losing side dims so the winner reads at a glance. Each kick also pops a card with the kicker and the result, SCORED or MISSED, followed by a winner card at the end.
Those cards follow the Goal Animation switch in overlay settings: turn it off and the cards stop appearing, while the marker row stays, because it carries the score. You never enter anything twice, the overlay follows the same penalty panel you already use in the match room.
