How do I connect the Playbox Stream app?

Playbox Stream is our own iPhone app for streaming a game: it films with the phone camera and puts the Playbox scoreboard into the video itself, so you need no Custom RTMP, stream key or overlay link. You connect it to your Playbox account once, with a QR code:

A code lasts 5 minutes and is replaced by itself while the sheet is open. The row then says “Connected”. You can add more phones the same way; “Disconnect” signs all of them out at once.

The app then lists your games under “My games”: games you organize or are a “Manager” or “Results tracker” (the former Referee) of, so a helper with a role can stream a game without being its organizer. Open one, create the stream on your YouTube channel, the organizer’s channel or the Playbox channel, and tap “Go live”. During the stream, the app’s “Overlay” panel has the same overlay settings as Settings, “Organizer tools”, “Overlay”, including the “Between-game screen” switch and its checkboxes, so you can change them live without opening the website. Goals are still recorded in Playbox (Match room) on another device.

Playbox shows you the way as a banner, “Go live with Playbox Stream”, on the game’s Media tab and in Stream settings. It is visible only to people who run the stream (organizer, manager, referee), only on a real game that is not finished or cancelled. Depending on where you are it offers one step: “Add stream” if the game has no stream yet, “Connect Playbox Stream” if no iPhone is paired (it opens Connected Apps), or “Open Playbox Stream” once an iPhone is paired. Players do not see it.
