Why does my promo code not work?

Read the message under the field: it names the exact reason. The common ones:

• “There is no such promo code. Check the spelling.” Codes are 4 to 16 Latin letters and digits, case does not matter.

• “This promo code is not active yet”, “has expired”, “is turned off”, or “has run out: all its uses are taken”.

• “You have already used this promo code.” Most codes are once per player.

• “This promo code works only on games of another organizer”: an organizer’s code works only on that organizer’s games, and may be limited to some of their communities (“does not work in this community”).

• “This promo code does not work when paying at the venue. Choose online or wallet.” Playbox codes never work with cash. An organizer’s code works with cash unless the organizer turned off “Allow paying at the venue” for it.

• “Promo codes don’t work on your own games.”: no code works on a game where you are the organizer, creator or payee, neither a Playbox code nor your own organizer code.

• “Promo codes work only in paid pickup games”: not leagues, team games, challenges or free games.

• “Your Early Bird discount is bigger than the promo code, so we kept it” (same for a partner discount).

• “The amount is below the card minimum”: pay from the wallet or at the venue.

• “Too many attempts. Try again in a minute.”

A friend’s invite code is not a promo code: typed in this field it links the invite to your account instead.
