How do I use a promo code when I join a game?

Type the code in the “Have a promo code?” field on the game checkout and tap “Apply”; the discount shows in the price right away and you can take the code off with “Remove promo code”. Promo codes work only in paid pickup games, and only on your own spot: friends or teammates you add in the same checkout pay the normal price. They do not work in leagues, team games (Team Clash), challenges, free games or the training game.

There are two kinds of codes. A Playbox code (from Playbox or a partner) works with the wallet or online payment, not with cash. An organizer’s code works only on that organizer’s games, and with cash only if the organizer allowed it. No code works on a game you organize, create or receive the money for yourself: the app says “Promo codes don’t work on your own games.” If you switch to a payment method the code does not support, the discount is dropped.

Most codes can be used once per player, some have a total limit or an end date. If your Early Bird or partner discount (for example Fitpass) is bigger than the code, you keep that one instead: the bigger discount wins, a tie goes to the code. Leaving the game gives the code back to the pool and refunds what you paid.
