How does rating recalculation work?
When the rating logic is improved or a past result is corrected, Playbox recalculates ratings across past matches in date order, so everyone’s numbers stay consistent. There are no separate rating modes: one rule works for every game and uses recorded substitutions when there are any.
On 12 October 2026 we recalculated all games since 6 July 2026 after fixing how uneven teams are counted: team strength now uses only the people actually on the field, a win against a short-handed team counts in full, nobody loses points because of a player the organizer didn’t add, and team totals in the game table add up to zero. Players whose rating changed by more than a point got a message from the Playbox bot.
Your overall PBX rating stays the sum of all your match deltas. For how a single match delta is calculated and split among players, see “How does the Playbox rating system work?”.
