Why does Playbox ask to share my location when I choose my city?
Playbox asks for your location on the city step so it can set your city and use your real position as the centre of your game search. The prompt appears as soon as the screen opens, you no longer have to look for a button. Sharing is the fastest path: the app turns the coordinates into a city and keeps your exact point, so “games within 25 km” means 25 km from you and not from the geometric centre of the city. In a large city that is the difference between a game in your neighbourhood and a feed from the other side of town. If you decline, nothing breaks and no error is shown: the search field and the city list stay right there, and you can pick a city by name or press Current location later. There is no Skip button on this step, because without a city you drop out of notifications about games near you, out of the currency your prices are shown in, and out of leagues. You confirm the step yourself with Continue, so you always see which city was picked before moving on.
