What is the training game, and does it count?

The training game is a practice match Playbox creates during the onboarding tour so you can try the app without touching anything real. It runs on a demo pitch with demo players, and you have one at a time.

It plays through to the end like a real game, including the part that closes a game for good: you record the result, the participants confirm it, and the match is settled. Playbox simulates the votes for you, because the demo squads are bots and nobody is there to press the buttons. You can run the confirmation both ways, with the quorum reached and with it left short, so you see what each outcome looks like before it happens in a real game.

Even so, it changes nothing outside itself. It does not build your streak, does not count towards unlocking public games for a new organizer, does not enter analytics or the city listing, does not touch your rating, XP, calibration, leaderboard or prizes, and sends no completion notifications. No real money is involved.

It is also not meant to be kept, so do not plan on going back to it later. See “My training game disappeared. What happened?” for what happens to it.
