What happens if I never finish my game in the app?
Playbox closes an unfinished game for you once the game duration has passed since its last activity: the start time of the game or the start or end of the latest match, whichever is later. A game with no match started closes about one game duration after its start time; every match you start or finish moves the deadline forward. A late start is fine, and there is no rule to finish by the end time you set. What happens at the deadline depends on whether the game shows any sign of having happened.
If there is evidence the game existed, it is closed as played: a started match, confirmed teams, scheduled matches, or at least 66% of the slots taken. Slots here are the format size times the number of teams (6x6 with 3 teams = 18, so 12 players are enough). Starting a match in the match room always prevents cancellation. The players’ payments stay with you and commission is charged as usual.
If there is no such evidence, it is cancelled as not played. The players get their money back and no commission is charged.
Up to 30 minutes before either happens you get a warning that names which of the two is coming and the one action you can still take: finish the game yourself if you already opened the scoreboard, or cancel it yourself if you never did. A completely empty event, with no players, teams or matches, gets no warning.
