How to create a game and what does each setting affect?
A game is created in three steps: Venue & time, Gameplay and Checkout. When you edit a game, the same three steps appear in the progress bar at the top: tap a step to open it.
-
Venue & time. Pick the venue from the list, search, Favourites or the map, or tap Suggest new field if it is missing. If the venue can be split, choose Whole, Half or Quarter. Then pick a day and tap a start and an end time on the venue’s slot grid. Turn on I’ve booked the venue once the pitch is confirmed.
-
Gameplay. Choose the Join Type (“Solo”, “Team”, or both; a new game starts with both on) and the Game format, from 2x2 to 11x11. Under Limits set player slots and the waitlist, or teams and team size, plus Player requirements. The Competitive game switch makes results count for ratings. Tap Gameplay to set rotation, rounds, match duration, halftime and stages.
-
Checkout. Set the price or Free, Special offers (pickup only), inventory and services, a comment. Under Publishing: Visibility (Public or Private), a scheduled post and Repeat.
On every step the round “Where to publish” button next to the main button sets the game’s community (required) and the Telegram chats and Facebook Pages for the announcement. After the game is created the Join Type is fixed, except that a pickup can still switch “Team” on or off.
