What is the entry check for my Telegram group?
The entry check is a switch that makes the Playbox bot ask every newcomer a simple question in a private chat before they can post in your group.
It exists because spam accounts now look like real people: filled profiles, avatars, normal names. Reviewing them by hand does not work, and a public captcha bot floods the chat it is meant to protect.
With the entry check nothing lands in your group at all: other members never see the question, the answer or the result. Turn it on in Settings β Organizer tools β External communities β your group β Entry check. It works in groups only, because in a channel subscribers cannot post and there is nothing to gate. The bot must be an admin in the group with the right to restrict members.
