Why is a game I played missing from my Game history?

Your profile’s “Game history” lists every finished or cancelled game you were registered for on this account, whatever your attendance status. If a game is missing, check that the filters (format, ranked, team draft) aren’t hiding it, and that you joined that game in Playbox with this same account.

The rule about “evidence the game took place” applies only to the public Recent Results and Past Games feed, not to your own Game history.
