Why don't I see the Join button for a game?

The “Join the game” button is hidden or replaced when you can’t join right now, and the screen shows the reason in its place:

• You are not logged in, or you are already in this game.

• You don’t meet the game’s requirements: a banner replaces the button. “Fill in your profile details to join” with “Fill in” takes you to the missing field (photo, phone, gender, date of birth) and back to the game. “This game isn’t for you” with “Find other games” means a hard limit (wrong gender, age or rating range): filling in your profile does not help and you can’t join this game; only the organizer can change the requirements, so tap “Find other games”.

• The game is full: “All slots are taken” with “Join waitlist”.

• The organizer restricted you: “You cannot join this game” with the reason.

• You owe this organizer a late-cancellation fee: “You have an unpaid fee” with a pay button.

• The lineups or regulation are confirmed, it is a league or team-draft game, or the game is finished or cancelled.

• Before a scheduled publish time the button is greyed out.

A time clash with another of your games does not hide the button: you tap it and see that you can’t sign up for two games at the same time.
