How do I join the waitlist for a game that's full?
When a game is already full, a floating “Join waitlist” banner appears at the bottom of the game screen so you can queue for a spot instead of missing out. Tap it to join; the banner shows your position in the queue. What happens when a spot opens depends on the organizer’s waitlist setting:
-
“Notify to Join”: everyone in the queue gets a notification about the free spot, and the first to join takes it.
-
“Auto Join”: the first person in the queue is added to the game automatically as a cash spot and gets a notification. This works only if the organizer accepts cash; if not, everyone in the queue gets the free-spot notification instead.
Joining the waitlist doesn’t charge you: you pay only when you get a spot (with “Auto Join” you pay cash at the game). You can leave the waitlist at any time, which frees your place for the next person. The waitlist isn’t used for league, kids, or challenge games.
