I shared my game link but my friends cannot join. Why?
A shared link opens the game for anyone, but joining needs a Playbox account. Without signing in your friends can see the game, the pitch and the lineup, and the Join button simply does not appear. They can register straight from that link: Playbox remembers where they were going and returns them to your game at the end of sign-up, so they do not have to find the link a second time.
If they are registered and still cannot join, the usual reasons are:
-
the game is already full, in which case they can join the waitlist
-
they are signed up to another game at the same time
-
the game has a requirement they do not meet yet, such as an approved profile photo, a filled in date of birth, or a rating range
-
their wallet is negative because of an unpaid game
-
the organizer restricted them
Making a game private does not break the link. Private only hides the game from public feeds, and anyone holding the link can still open and join it.
